Become a Fridge Manager
We rely on volunteers to ensure our fridges are safe and clean. Fridge managers check on the fridge's temperature and freezer functionality, organize food by expiration date, and clean and sanitize the fridge.
Each fridge has an AM and a PM slot available to ensure that we are checking up on our fridges as often as possible.
We also rely on volunteers to maintain the quality of the food in our fridge by throwing away any expired or open foods, as well as foods that do not meet Hope Fridge guidelines for acceptable donations.
No need to sign up - just show up anytime and help out!
Thank you.
Food Distribution
Individual Donations
You, person reading this, are the main fuel that keeps our Hope Fridges full. Community members who see an empty fridge and go out shopping to fill it up it are folks who make the Hope Fridge project possible.
We couldn’t do this without you.
Recurring Donations
Do you own a restaurant, market, or grocery store in the Fox Valley? Do you have access to fresh food that can be donated on a regular basis?
Please contact us to arrange a partnership, or you can sign up to fill the fridge any day here: https://signup.com/go/MSXyWAx
Impromptu Donations
Did you overbuy groceries for a party and now have extra unopened bread or cheese? Reach out to arrange a pickup of one-time donations.
Volunteers are always needed for donation pick-ups and deliveries.

Fridge Etiquette
1. Please ensure that your hands are clean before you visit a fridge.
2. Avoid unnecessary contact with food items to prevent contamination.
3. If you notice food has gone bad or packaging has been compromised, please throw it away.
4. Check use-by dates on food products. Discard out-of-date food and do not consume prepared food after three days.
5. Please put new donations towards the back of the shelves so that food gets eaten in the order it is donated.
6. Please do not donate anything you would not personally consume.
7 . Please refer to our Guidelines tab prior to donating. (Example: No raw meat allowed!)
8. Professionally prepared food (i.e. restuarant meal donations) should be labeled with all ingredients and dated from day of preparation.
9. Any food in packages or containers must be completley sealed and in good condition to protect the integrity of the contents.
10. If you noticed or cause a spill, please clean up after yourself and others whenever possible.
11. If you notice the fridge needs cleaning, maintenance, or is above 41°F, please email tj@hopefridge.com or text or call (920) 209 - 3656.
